Beth is the first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel we had. She was such a great character that we decided to have some more. so we purchased another one.. |
So we bought Ebony. Ebony was a very greedy dog, who would steal food from wherever she could find it. She once went missing at a friend's kennels, and was found inside a food bag absolutely stuffed!!
Unfortunately we lost Ebbie in 2007. She is still sorely missed.

Amber was the next one, when she was younger she always wanted to play 'fetch' to the point of human exhaustion! She was rarely without a ball in her mouth. Periodically she would refuse to eat for days if she was so inclined, and was a hard puppy to bring up. |
Millie was the last one of the set. Born in the year 2000, hence the name. We now had all four varieties. Millie was a great escapologist and would dig her way under the fences. (Amber would show you where she had gone if asked!) She has a lovely nature EXCEPT when there is food about, which she considers she should have! |

October 31st 2009, we obtained Ruby from the Northern Cavalier Rescue Society. We collected her from nearby Rothwell. She seems a nice friendly little girl, quite forcefull when it comes to food. She saw the others off straight away!!
Ruby has settled in well now, and is one of the pack. Once again we have a full set!!

Unfortunately we lost millie today, Dec 19 2009. She did not quite make her 10th birtday. She had been poorly with what appeared to be a problem with her back, but after 3 visits to the Vet she was diagnosed with an enclosed Pyometra (An inflammation of the womb) and spondolitus. With her heart problems and a major operation required, which would not probably leave her with a very good quality of life. we decided that it was best to say goodbye.
RIP millie see you in heaven. We will miss you loads! We are back to 3 again.

Sadly we lost Beth on the 4th October 2010. She went downhill very quickly, and developed a womb infection ( Pyometra). We took her to the vet, where she was put to sleep.
The vet said that she probably would not have lasted another day. As the injection took effect she gave Wendy a lick on the nose to say goodbye
| Then along came MUFFIN!
Muffin was found as a stray, and was kept by a family who wanted to adopt him. Unfortunately he was entire, and did not fit in with the rest of their family, especially the cats. He was called Bobby, but it should have been HUMPfrey!!!!
We were contacted by the Northern Cavalier Rescue Society, and we collected him on 25th November 2010. We had him castrated, chipped and innoculated.
Ruby was attacked by him a couple of times, and although she was unhurt, she remained frightened of him, so our idea of a playmate for her was frustrated. They are now beginning to get on better as I write. Hopefully it will all work out OK.
| It has taken a long time, but at last they are beginning to get on. Ruby is still a little wary of muffin, but at the end of September 2011 they are together at last! | |
